The 2nd Annual Serra BJJ BBQ will take place on August 21st at Eisenhower Park from 1-5 pm.

Big thanks to Joe Capizzi who visited us last night and was kind enough to teach class and show some great techniques. Joe, who recently placed 3rd in the Pan-Ams, is a great technical instructor and BJJ practitioner. He came up the ranks under Renzo Gracie alongside Matt and Nick Serra.

Congratulations to Avi Joffe and Joe "Stiffler" Laviano who were both promoted to the rank of brown belt at our East Meadow Academy on Monday evening.
Both of these guys have been working extremely hard. One thing that stands out about Avi are his incredibly strong grips and for Joey it's his very tricky gi game. The Serra BJJ family is proud of your well deserved promotions!
The Serra BJJ Grand Opening went off without a hitch this past Saturday, May 22, as seven months of hard work culminated in a spectacular event that filled the academy with great people and great energy.
