As you said, we did have the Judo class in the past but unfortunately after having it for about 2 years, we never had a strong showing. Although I think Judo techniques are a great addition to BJJ there are concerns with safety. A lot of guys tend to get injured during live training more frequently with Judo. It is much safer to train with a partner on the ground then starting from standing with the Gi.
If takedowns are of interest, we do have excellent wrestling instructors: Ryan "Guillotine", Big Dom, and Stevie Stones from Huntington academy, along with Craig Portee, and Vinny "Polar Bear" of East Meadow.
I would highly recommend taking their classes.
